About Crash

Crash is a two-day festival of talks, panels and masterclasses from professionals working in animation, games, VFX, comics, illustration and design.

Built for young people who want to work in the creative industries and for the professionals already in them. Direct access to the people doing the work: their careers, their craft, their advice.

THE STORY

Crash launched in Ashford in 2025 — one day, one venue, speakers from ILM, Sony Pictures Animation, Marvel Comics and Splash Damage, 200+ attendees.

Year 2 is at The Malthouse in Canterbury, 13–14 August 2026. Two days. A bigger stage. The same idea: bring the creative industries to the South East, and make them accessible to the next generation.

WHO IT'S FOR

Students and young people exploring creative careers. Educators and schools looking for industry connections. Professionals who want to stay connected to what's happening. Anyone who makes things, or wants to.

CRASH IS A CIC

Crash Festival is a Community Interest Company, registered in Kent. Any surplus is reinvested into the festival and its mission: creating real pathways into the creative industries for young people in the South East.
